    Activated carbon is a substance made from amorphous carbon, which is produced by activating both plant-based materials such as sawdust, wood, and coconut shells, and mineral-based materials like coal, at high temperatures of 900 to 1200°C in a steam furnace. It is known for its excellent adsorption properties.
    The activation process creates numerous Å-scale micro-pores of molecular size, where the functional groups of carbon atoms attract and adsorb odor-causing substances from surrounding liquids or gases.
    This material, a porous composite made by depositing metal silica porous composite particles with excellent porous and adsorptive properties onto the surface of activated carbon. It not only demonstrates superior physical adsorption due to its porous characteristics but also induces chemical decomposition by stabilized metal adsorbents, effectively removing or reducing odors and harmful gases.
